I made bread with half of the flour. It is tasty and crunchy but too salty for my taste.
I had 1/4 of the bread, which I had made as a round loaf, today because I had read that rye helps to control diabetes.
I think it is a bit too costly. It should be classified as diabetic friendly health food and the duties on import should be reduced.

Excellent rye bread, very authentic rustic flavour. They have used lots of seeds and nut in the mix and turned out really delicious. I used yeast and water to knead and left it for few hours to rise. Then baked it, no special treatment required. If you are beginning bread baking this is ideal place to start.

Nordlander - Rye Bread with Sunflower Seeds

As the name suggests, this bread is sprinkled with a generous dose of sunflower seeds and tastes slightly, making it a good healthy breakfast option. Try it with cream cheese and fruit jam.

TOTAL TIME: 
Prep: 25 min. + rising
Bake: 45-50 mins. + cooling
 

INGREDIENTS

 

BAKING METHOD 
 
MIX the bread mix, water & dry yeast together to form a consistent paste.

KNEAD well for 8-10 mins or until a well-developed pasty dough is formed.

COVER loosely with a damp cloth and allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.

KNEAD Once again for 5 mins and rest again for 20 minutes.

FILL the greased mould with dough and flatten the top with wet fingers.

DECORATE the top with sunflower seeds (optional) and cover it.
 
LEAVE it in a warm place for approximately 40 minutes.

REMOVE the cover and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for 40-50 minutes.
